PRIVATE PEACEFUL

This is a full Scheme of Learning / Unit of Work designed for teaching the play, Private Peaceful, (based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo; adapted by Simon Reade) to a Key Stage 3 / Middle School aged class. There are six lessons, including reading and discussion questions; a practical warm-up; a main learning activity; and sharing/feedback guidance. Each of these lessons could be extended to carry over two lessons if it suits your schedule better. This is followed by a final assessment task. Each lesson is accompanied by beautifully designed slides to inspire your students and help you lead the lessons. The Scheme of Learning and the slides can be edited by you to adapt to your particular context or they can simply be used as they are.
